Flickr Moment 4
This Flickr moment showed a daughter that channeled her grief into art. Her name is Kristy and she lost her mother at a young age back in 2008. At any age, losing somebody can cause extreme pain but it's inspiring that she took her depression, grief and heart break, turning it into a stunning wonderland of photos all dedicated to her mom. Her mom was a beloved English teacher with tons of books and lots of fairy tales in her head, Kristy's photography features clothes she designed, for instant a dress filled with paper fans that took her two and a half months to finish and entire detailed background that made me feel like I was watching Alice in Wonderland. Watching this video made me feel inspired, I want to transfer all my grief into art for Gabby. I just find it so beautiful to watch people make it through something so traumatic and make the result into beauty that can benefit a complete strange that sees this art, can relate and feel so much better about their grief. I bet it also brings so much release and happiness to the griever.
